Exciting Changes Ahead: We’re Upgrading Our Booking & Membership System

June 24, 2026 By Izzy Cambray

We’re excited to share that Ground Up is upgrading our membership and booking system!

Starting Monday July 13, we’ll be transitioning from Rock Gym Pro (RGP) to Redpoint HQ, a modern climbing gym management platform that will power our memberships, bookings, waivers, programs, and online account management. This is one of the most significant behind-the-scenes upgrades we’ve made in recent years, and we believe it will make a real difference to how you experience the gym, both in person and online.

Why Are We Making the Change?

Rock Gym Pro has served us well for many years. It’s a trusted system used by hundreds of climbing gyms across North America, and it’s helped us manage everything from memberships and bookings to waivers and payments.

But as Ground Up has grown, so have our ambitions for what a great member experience looks like. We wanted a platform that offers greater flexibility, more intuitive account management, and a genuinely modern online experience.

Redpoint was designed specifically for climbing gyms and provides a unified platform for memberships, programs, bookings, communication, reporting, and customer management in one unified platform, and it’s already trusted by some of the best climbing gyms in North America.

What Benefits Can You Expect?

Easier Account Management

Redpoint provides a more modern member portal, making it simple to manage your membership, update payment information, view invoices, and access account details, all from your phone or laptop, and at any time.

Improved Booking Experience

Program registrations, classes, events, and facility bookings will be managed through a streamlined booking system designed specifically for climbing gyms. No more workarounds or clunky interfaces.

Better Membership Flexibility

The new platform gives us far greater flexibility in how we structure memberships, passes, and promotions. Allowing us to continue to improve and expand our offerings over time.

A Foundation for the Future

One of the biggest reasons for making this move is to create a stronger foundation for future improvements. Redpoint’s modern architecture will allow us to continue enhancing the member experience as new features become available. Rather than working around the limitations of an older system.

When is the Transition Happening?

Our official launch date for Redpoint is Monday July 13th.

From that date, the new system will be live and ready to use. While you won’t see any changes until then, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes for the past several months to migrate our database and prepare our team for a smooth switchover.

Please note: there will be a short transition window from July 12-16 during which some online services will be temporarily unavailable while we complete the migration.

Our website and access to memberships online will be down for maintenance from 6pm on Sunday July 12.

If you do need help with anything during this period, please get in touch via phone or email, or drop by the gym and our front desk staff will be glad to assist you.

What Will Be Unavailable During the Transition?

To move all memberships, bookings, waivers, and account information safely across to the new system, we’ll need a brief maintenance window.

During this time:

  • Some areas of our website may be offline.
  • Online bookings will be temporarily unavailable.
  • Membership purchases and renewals may be unavailable online (but you can still buy and manage them in person at our front desk).
  • Certain account management features may not be accessible.

The climbing gym itself will remain open during normal operating hours throughout the transition. Our front desk team will be on hand to help wherever possible, so please don’t hesitate to come and see us, give us a call, or drop us an email.

What Should Members Do?

To make the transition as smooth as possible for yourself, we’d recommend:

  • Booking any classes, programs, or events that fall during the July 12-15 window in advance
  • Checking that your contact information is up to date
  • Keeping an eye on your inbox and our social media channels for any further updates

Will My Membership Be Affected?

No. All active memberships, passes, waivers, and account information will be transferred to the new system as part of the migration process.

While you may be asked to activate your new online account once Redpoint goes live, your membership status and access to the facility will remain unchanged.

Thank You For Your Patience

We know that system changes like this can occasionally cause short-term inconvenience, and we genuinely appreciate your patience while we work through it. The team has put in a huge amount of effort to make this transition as seamless as possible.

Our goal is to make interacting with Ground Up easier, faster, and more reliable for everyone, from first-time visitors to long-term members.

Thank you for your patience and support while we make this transition. We can’t wait to share the new experience with you.

Questions? Reach out to us at bookings@climbgroundup.com or speak with our team at the front desk. We’re always happy to help!
