Introducing the Ground Up Youth Team

The Ground Up Youth Team is a foundational part of the Ground Up Community. This year we have our largest team yet with 28 athletes spread over four teams. Heading into its 8th season of performance-oriented climbing, the team is going strong.

We wanted to take a moment to introduce the amazing coaches and athletes that make up the future of Squamish climbing. Our team fosters a love of climbing and the mental challenges climbing can present. We focus on performing as climbers, fueled by the support of fellow team members and friends.

Performance Development Team (PDT)

The Performance Development Team is intended for young climbers who are interested in focusing their growth on performance climbing to realize their full potential as rock climbers and/or competition climbers.

Competitive performance Team I & II (Comp I & II)

This program is intended for dedicated athletes looking to improve their performance and excel in the competition season. Training is designed, periodized and in part individualized to prepare athletes for local, provincial and national competitions.
