Welcome, Ground Up members!
The form below connects you directly to our Membership Manager and should be used to submit all change requests. If you would like to freeze, terminate, or to update contact or payment info on your account, please use the form below. You may also use this form to ask membership specific questions.
If you’d like to unfreeze your membership, simply drop by the gym and we will pro-rate the remainder of the month until our next billing date!
Reminder for EFT members:
Any freeze, terminate or payment change requests must be received at least 7 days before the next billing date.
This means that your request should be in by the 5th of each month (because the billing date is always on the 12th!)

MEMBERSHIP FAQ
See our reopening and membership frequently asked questions.
How does the monthly EFT work?
EFT stands for electronic funds transfer. In other words, with this membership you allow us to charge your monthly dues to your credit card or bank account.
When you first sign up, your dues will be pro-rated so that you only pay for the remaining days of that billing period. In addition, there is a one time initiation fee charged at sign-up. From then on, we charge monthly dues on the 12th of each month. The initiation fee allows us to offer a flexible option for people who want to commit to a membership for more than three months.
This is a flexible membership option. You can freeze this membership while traveling, climbing outdoors and so on. Plus it comes with all other gym member perks. You can also stop this membership by submitting a request seven days before a billing date. This means you need to submit your request by the 5th day of the month.

When is the billing date?
We bill all our EFT monthly members on the 12th of each month. Any changes to your membership will take place from the next billing date (cancelling or freezing).
What is a freeze?
Freeze is a function of the EFT monthly memberships. It allows members to anticipate months where they will not be climbing, or not be in Squamish and they can put the membership on hold without requiring to pay the initiation fee to start back up.
- Freezing a membership costs $12 (after 5% GST) a month per member.
- Freezes can be done individually (referring to family membership options)
- Freezes start on the 12th of each month in conjunction with our billing cycle.
- Freezing requires 7 days notice (by the 5th of any given month).
If you would like to come into the gym while keeping your membership frozen, you can purchase an $18 “frozen member” day pass.
How do I “unfreeze” my EFT Monthly Membership?
To ‘unfreeze’ your membership, you will need to fill out the Membership Change Form or come in and see us at the Front Desk. You can unfreeze your membership anytime and we will prorate the remaining days of the billing cycle to be charged on the next billing date.
Prepaid memberships cannot be frozen.
What is the Initiation Fee?
The initiation fee is a part of the membership dues when you sign up for an EFT monthly membership. This allows for the flexibility we offer within the membership.
There is no initiation fee for prepaid annual memberships or one month passes.
I want to cancel my EFT membership. How can I do this?
As always, EFT members may cancel their membership at any time. All we ask is that your request is submitted via our secure “My Membership” page by no later than closing time on the 5th of any given month. In this case, we need to receive your request no later than closing time on June 5th.
Prepaid Memberships cannot be cancelled.
What is the definition of a child, youth family, senior?
Youth – 4 to 18 years of age. Pricing for youth includes students.
Student – must show a VALID student ID. Family – Two adults and one child.
Senior – 60 years and older.
How does the guest pass work?
One year pre-paid members and monthly EFT members each get a monthly guest pass for their friends, so bring your friends, show them around and share the magic.
This pass can ONLY be used for first time visitors to the gym and includes rental equipment for the guest.
Does my punch pass expire?
Yes. A punch pass expires 1 year after the date of purchase.
Can I share my punch pass?
Yep! The punch pass is our only pass that you can share with others. In order to share a pass, both climbers must check-in together.
I’m new to Ground Up Climbing Centre. What memberships do you offer and how do I become a member?
We offer memberships that fall into one of three categories…
- Punch Passes which are paid in full at the time of purchase
- Pre-Paid Memberships which are paid in full at the time of purchase
- EFT Memberships with a monthly payment plan
