Ground Up Outdoor Gear Swap

Post-work Gear and clothing swap: 

Mark your calendars for our first-annual Outdoor Gear Swap at Ground Up Climbing Centre!

Join us on July 10th, and swap your gently-loved outdoor gear with others in the community!

Our mission is simple: declutter your gear closet, keep items out of landfills, and provide the community with an accessible way to “shop” sustainably.

WHAT TO SWAP

Bring your gently-loved hiking shoes, tents, climbing shoes, chalk bags, crash pads, backpacks, jackets, Bike equipment, skis, yoga pants, and outdoor clothing, etc., and trade with others in the community!

Please follow the golden rule: Only bring items to swap that you’d want to take home from the swap! Damaged items cannot be swapped.

HOW TO SWAP

1. Register for the free event! Tickets are required for entry.
2. Gather your gently pre-loved gear to swap. Please bring a maximum of 10 items.
3. Join us on July 10th, 530 pm – 730 pm at Ground Up Climbing Centre. Check-in at the front table using your RGP booking confirmation to be entered in our giveaway with our sponsors!
4. Lay out your gear and shop the tables! Please only take as many items as you brought to swap.
5. Make friends, chat about the outdoors, and enjoy! Ground Up Climbing will be open all day if you want to hang out for a climb!

Our intention is equally rooted in giving back to our local community in need. This event will donate all leftover gear to Under One Roof or other appropriate local organizations. If items are not in appropriate condition to be donated, they will go to the landfill. 

Raffle with entry: Those who register with free RGP event will and check in with the staff member at the front will be entered into a raffle for some special prizes from Ground Up and our sponsors!

*Please note we are not liable for any broken items. The swapper is responsible for checking the functionality and safety of the items before they use them. We are not checking or validating the safety and functioning of the items before swapping. 

**All gear must be swapped. No selling! 

Ropes, Harnesses, Draws, Helmets, and any other gear with expiry dates are NOT ACCEPTED.
