Rules and Regulations
CLIMBING IS AN INHERENTLY RISKY ACTIVITY THAT CAN RESULT IN INJURY, PARALYSIS OR DEATH. PLEASE READ THROUGH OUR FACILITY RULES POSTED HERE, AND THROUGHOUT THE FACILITY AS RELATED TO SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES.
- Anyone who has a pre-existing condition should obtain clearance from their doctor before participating in any climbing or fitness activity.
- All persons in the facility will heed the directives of staff.
- Anyone wishing to enter the facility must first fill out a liability waiver form and go through a facility orientation.
- Spectators/pedestrians must keep out of the way of all climbers, and make themselves aware of where climbers are above them.
- No animals, we are a food service establishment.
- Anyone wishing to belay within the facility must pass the Ground Up Climbing belay test for the type of belaying they will be performing.
- Instruction is not permitted in the facility unless the lesson is being provided by Ground Up Climbing staff or otherwise approved by Ground Up Climbing management.
- Staff reserve the right to reject any personal climbing equipment they deem to be unsafe.
- Do not wear rings or loose jewelry while climbing and tie back long hair while belaying.
- No food, drink or personal items on the mats/climbing area, please secure items in lockers and cubbies provided instead.
- No bare feet for hygiene and safety reasons.
- Be courteous, communicative and supportive to all your fellow
climbers.
Parents/guardians are responsible for holding youth accountable to the facility rules, rules for youth and rules specific to activities listed throughout the facility.
GROUND UP CLIMBING RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REVOKE DAY PASS AND CLIMBING PRIVILEGES IF THESE RULES ARE NOT FOLLOWED.
